The Knights work closely with our Youth in Action group from Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. A team is established to co-ordinate a few special events during the year. Recently we co-hosted a curling fun spiel for the youth to come and try a new sport. Much fun was had by all.
The youth in our community are a very giving and community minded group. They have helped raise money for our local food banks and provided other valuable services to our community. In response our Council 9270 has established an awards program to recognize the youth for there volunteer hours. Each time they volunteer they receive a Knights coin which they can use at teh fun events that the Knights co-host with the youth Leaders.
We are blessed to have such a fine group of youth in our community.
